step inside the wonder parlour, our newest collection with sue-ching lascelles

Pull back the velvet curtain. Mind the brass monkeys and the tiny carousel in the corner. Pour yourself a cuppa in a cup that absolutely does not match its saucer. Welcome to The Wonder Parlour. 🫶🏻

Our newest collection has landed, and it’s unlike anything we’ve printed before. Twenty three fabrics, a glorious riot of colour, and a love letter to the kind of maximalist joy that happens when you stop trying to be tasteful and start trying to be delighted.

Who’s behind the collection

The Wonder Parlour is a collaboration with Sue-Ching Lascelles, a Meanjin (Brisbane) based multimedia artist whose practice sits right where papercutting, embroidery, textiles, sculpture and installation art collide. If you’ve ever seen her famous tea towel dress or her plush figures made entirely from scraps, you already know the vibe. Playful, warm, unmistakably hers.

Sue-Ching is also the author of Making Happy Things: 20 Joyful and Sustainable Sewing Projects, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about why this collab felt inevitable. She makes joyful things. We print joyful fabric. I obviously had to pursue this collab!

Go find her at suechinglascelles.com.au, on YouTube at Making Happy Things, and give her a follow if you haven’t already. Her work is the sort that brightens a feed. 💕

Come have a wander through

The full Wonder Parlour collection is live. Have a browse, pick the prints that make your chest light up, and join the Colour Club for first looks when the next round opens.

Thank you, Sue-Ching. This one was pure joy to make, and we can’t wait to see what the Colour Collab community sews with it. 🌈
